Humboldt system. Thinking / Painting, proposed a random network of relationships between the Natural History collections of the University of Valencia, the figure of the naturalist Alexander von Humboldt and the artistic production derived from that encounter through a glossary of word binomials to contrast the world from intuitive chance to the digital world of algorithm, where bodies disappear behind the liquid screen.
In reference to the concept of nature, Humboldt defined it as an “intricate network of organisms that develop and destroy successively, each step that is taken towards the most intimate knowledge of nature leads to the entry of new labyrinths”.
