The Antipodes project was developed for the solo exhibition presented at the Shiras gallery (Valencia), adding a new desire to make discoveries, adventures, and chance visible in an imaginary place opposite to the physical location of the studio.
The exploration began along the Congo River with André Gide and Marc Allégret, discovering settlements and cities built with sediments from the riverbed.
Reading “Heart of Darkness” led me to leave Africa and embark on a journey around the perimeter of my room following the steps of Xavier de Maistre. I have sailed to the antipodes, and for now, this is my place in search of a more open and experimental system to find some answers.
